Last night, a casual conversation with a friend took an unexpected turn, leaving me pondering a question that kept me awake well into the early hours. The topic? What if humans didn’t need to eat to survive? My friend, who was growing frustrated with the routine of daily life, and I were unwinding with a few beers when I brought up the idea. After a brief pause, I asked, “But if we didn’t eat, how would we function?” My friend, a good listener, didn’t have much to say in response, but it was a question that lingered in my mind long after the conversation ended. As I continued to reflect on the idea, I came to an intriguing conclusion: If humans didn’t need food for energy, perhaps we could absorb energy directly from the sun and our surroundings, much like plants do.
