Lets name him Mr Yuh. Mr you lives in a suburb with his parents and is 21 years old. He is the only son of Mr and Mrs Yuh. It is good day today and a happy one because Yuh has graduated from University and is also going to get married next month. A celebration in the family. His parents are happy as they have finally retired and have paid of thier 30 year mortagage.

Senior Yuh worked for 45 years. Of the 45 years he has worked he has paid the Government Tax worth 11 and half years of his working life. So in reality he worked 33 and half years. Back in the day, Mr Senior Yuh wanted to raise his family in a good neigbourhood and live in a good house. So he made a bold step of buying a house priced at $200,000 as the real state agent said, it is a bargain!. Senior Yuh has finally paid of the 30 year mortagage. He has so far paid the bank $431,851.53 including the principle and interest. Ofcourse his house is worth much more now but since they are not selling and will live in the same house for rest of thier lives, Senior Yuh has given the bank a handsome profit.

Now consider the next part of the story in a straight line theory, Junior and his girlfriend have also decided to buy a house and some personal loan to start off thier lives. They go to the bank and borrow $500,000. Bank gives them the loan on a good interest rate of 8% over 30 Years. The bank actually needs to fund this loan, i.e where will they get this $500,000 from. Ofcourse there is the Reserve Bank. What do they do?, they lend smaller bank such as the country bank loans on a lower cash rate, known as the OCR. So country bank goes to Reserve bank and borrows money at 3 %. Good. So Country bank now makes a good profit of 5%.

Now Reserve bank needs to fund the $500,000 it has given to the Country bank. Where does it go. Realistically it needs to borrow money to fund its countries economy and all the money in the economy. They don't mint money!. So Mr Reserve bank goes to World Bank to borrow its money at 0.5% interest rate. The Federal bank or the World bank has the legal right to print money, its called the legal tender. It is not backed by Gold or any kind of asset, it controls the flow of money by the method on supply and demand. Clearly the World Bank is owned by a Government type body which was setup to help countries grow thier economies. You would think. And here in lies the truth of the matter. World bank is privately owned by group of Wealthy business and is controlled by NM Rothschild.

The worlds wealth is privately controlled, by a law that was made in the wake of American independence, a law that was written by businessmen not lawmakers. The Federal bank creates money, lends it to countries and soon as it lends it has created a debt which can never be paid back and creates slaves who will keep paying back the interest and never the principle. Wars and turmoils all require money. You would think the politicians have power. Keep dreaming an ignorant dream. World is controlled by makers of money. But how much money is enough?. Don't they have enough now.? When you have all the money in the world, its more then money you need. It is about social control.

Believe it or not, the ball is in motion for a one world government, where Yuh and I will be paying debts for the rest of our lives as slaves. And the only reason we cannot come out of this slavery is? Because we are slaves of the monetary system. You will be in debt all your lives until you are dead, and then your children will be paying the same debt, by taxes, or by interest. The ones who control the world are getting more powerfull and one day the one world government will control everything. Don't belive me, read this article http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=50618

Wealthy bankers like war and misery. Cause then governments and organisations can borrow more money to wage war and build and rebuild contries. I will not talk about war in Iraq or 9/11. The only way to stop this slavery is to have a society without the motivation of money. Is a society like this possible?
by Retnesh R Raj copyright 2007

Vishnu idol found in Russian town

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_BwSgRu6_45Q/SH0wbawBkGI/AAAAAAAAAGY/y2ueAmq3_dQ/s400/Vishnumoscow.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5223384390414995554" />

Moscow, January 4: An ancient Vishnu idol has been found during excavation in an old village in Russia's Volga region, raising questions about the prevalent view on the origin of ancient Russia.

The idol found in Staraya (old) Maina village dates back to VII-X century AD. Staraya Maina village in Ulyanovsk region was a highly populated city 1700 years ago, much older than Kiev, so far believed to be the mother of all Russian cities.

"We may consider it incredible, but we have ground to assert that Middle-Volga region was the original land of Ancient Rus. This is a hypothesis, but a hypothesis, which requires thorough research," Reader of Ulyanovsk State University's archaeology department Dr Alexander Kozhevin told state-run 24-hour news channel Vesti.

Dr Kozhevin, who has been conducting excavation in Staraya Maina for last seven years, said that every single square metre of the surroundings of the ancient town situated on the banks of Samara, a tributary of Volga, is studded with antiques.

Press Trust of India
Posted online: Thursday, January 04, 2007 at 1128 hours IST
Updated: Thursday, January 04, 2007 at 1309 hours IST
by Retnesh R Raj copyright 2007

Alien picks up Human Signal.

And no its not a nuclear bomb blast or the American flag on the moon.

Imagine us in few hundred years or even few thousand years. We started off communicating through sign language, and then developed verbal and then written language. After that we started to communicate through long distance by sending messengers over, then telegraph, then telephone and to our present stage, we have advanced to a stage where we are using satellites to communicate even outside our earthly domain. What’s next, the communication devices are becoming smaller and smaller. It won't be long before we will be able to pad our chest to connect to someone by a microscopic device, (you thinking Star Trek so am I). What’s next?

What we have forgotten is that the biggest communication device lies within us. Some scientists argue that we have reached the peak of human evolution and humans will not develop any further.

"I've had to question the overall assumption that human evolution pretty much stopped at the time of the agricultural revolution," - Steven Pinker, the Harvard psychologist and language expert.

I believe this is certainly not the scenario, we may have reached our full potential physically but we have not reached our full mental capability. The next biological step in human evolution is the development of the human mind. Human brain is one of the most complex and complicated organ in the human body. We have not yet realised its full potential. Even with half its use mankind has been able to achieve marvellous feats, from the Seven Wonders of the World to nano-technology, we are getting there. Space travel and going beyond from there, we are capable of it. But the most significant part of human-brain development is the recognition of human values. We have started to recognise humanity, we have a long way to go in this path but we have found the basis of it already, it is spirituality. From barbarians to vegetarians we have come a long way. From cannibals to humanitarians, this is a great achievement. We have asked the tough questions and we have questioned the religious doctrines, we have been able to recognise the wrong from right and used ethics as a moral code to build a future for the human kind. We have to still fine tune this ability but hey we are still evolving. We have not reached perfection yet. We see in the news everyday of the human atrocities and question ourselves, have we really come this far or is it still an illusion.

Well we have 6 billion people on earth and counting. There has to be some pockets to ignorance and some pockets to advance human thinking. My point to explain all this is to present a fact that we still very much are in the process of human evolution. Some groups are evolving much faster then the others thus the difference in thinking. And that’s how it works, not every chimp will become a home-sapien.

Let’s get back to alien communication. Imagine a race which has surpassed all these hurdles and conquered the antiquated human nature. Wouldn’t they be using their most complex organ as communication device? Would they still talk like us or will they be communicating by the means of telepathy. The most advance way of communication would be communication through thoughts.

The Vimana Shastra the ancient Sanskrit text describes the control of advance alien space crafts through the control of mind. The devices on the space craft were controlled by the pilots mind. I will not go into the Vimana Shastra just yet, the main trust of this article is to explain that if we are to contact alien beings and really show them that we are out here, we have to start projecting outwards through a projection of mind. What we know of ESP or extra sensory perception and telepathy tells us that communication through our most complex organ is possible.

The SETI organisation uses radio signals picked up by a huge array of radio antennas to analyse an alien signal. Though we are doing all we can to come in contact with somebody out there, I believe we may be doing it all wrong.

We need to think outside the square and plant seeds to use human mind to project signals into space, so that one day we are able to synchronise to a signal which aliens communicate in. It is my firm believe that telepathy will be the best way to contact the little green men.

When men’s mind is clouded by greed, anger and hatred, when we are having difficulty in understanding each other through verbal language, how will be communicate and project outwards, towards an advance race. Will they pick up our dirty thoughts and not want to talk to us? Will we be too unrefined for them? Perhaps, so what do we do now, keep sending radio signals in the hope that they might feel pity on us and think “okay let’s give these humans something for trying, commander dig up the achieves to see how this radio signal used to work !”.

Well it’s not all that bad. We have good people already in this day and age and we can still form an organisation where this advance way of communication can be enhanced and used. I pray that my good friends at SETI read this and organise a branch to concentrate on this idea. I will be more the eager to help.
by Retnesh R Raj copyright 2007

Second Dimension of Civilization

This is something I wrote years ago...I thought better put it on my blog before it gets lost in oblivion. Enjoy.

From the day men first put his feet in the gobble of civilization he has wondered about his existence. The incapability to comprehend such a baffling question led to the idea of a supreme being.

Though it is not the simplest answer, it was the most convincing one to explain the bewildering nature of the Universe. To rival this theory of creation and Supreme Being science has always provided factual evidence. The irony here is that the same paths which led to the belief in Supreme Being also led to the facts of science.

Let’s put this together, human civilization began from the time they started living in groups or societies. This led to the development of language, once communication medium was established the discussion of the unexplained took place, it was during one of these discussions the idea of God would have been conceived.

As time went by the domestication of animals and farming began and men stepped into the modern era of civilization. The modern era led to the development of schools and universities, which in turn researched more into science and the rival theory of evolution was developed.

During these thousands of years of human existence men has only “just” discovered that the universe was not created by a supreme being. Religion has been with men since the beginning of civilization but modern science has only been around for past 100 or so years. Thus it can be understood that the iron-grip religion will be very difficult to overcome, it is as it’s built into our genetic makeup. It may take another 100 years change the mind-set.

The development of religion however has been a good thing, I have nothing against it. This world would have been in a sever state of chaos if there was no fear of God. Even today a doctor would pray to God to save life of one of his patients, a staunch believer in science would still pray in times of desperation. A student of science will still pray before sitting his paper. But think for a moment if religion was not started in the first place.

If there was no religion to begin with we would be living in a different dimension of civilization. Religion has partly been responsible for the rejection of science or the slow down of hi-tech human development, science has always faced the wrath of the ethnic fraternity, ethical value has its roots in religion. Though it provided balance, it also slowed down scientific progress.

Most people will argue this point. In spite of this if there was no God in the equation; I believe the debate about right and wrong would have developed from providing facts and evidence. The rivalry would have been between the right and wrong hypothesis. The world would have been geared towards the discovery of truth from the first instance, the absence of the God guy would have provided the catalyst to advance human development, and the chaos would have never come about.

People often argue about the good aspect of religion and the bad aspect of science. This is unfair, the bad things science has brought upon us has nothing to do with religion, its to do with human nature, there would have been bad people and good people with or without religion in existence, would you think there wouldn’t be Green Peace if there were no religion? The bad would have always faced opposition from the good. However the debate would have been based entirely on facts, not the ignorance of it.

Let’s look at the human race today, where have we come from our humble beginnings? Despite the progress we have become aware that we are also destroying ourselves, no one knows for sure how long the human race will last. If something dramatic happens tomorrow, say a giant asteroid hits earth or few nuclear bombs go off, the human race as we know it, may become extinct. What will happen then, will evolution stop?

As long as there are some form of life present evolution will keep ticking on, maybe nature will promote insects as superior beings, behold the giant cockroach!
Maybe one day the new species will dig up our fossils and be amazed at an ancient civilization, us. Personally I do have great hope for mankind but I doubt if mankind will be able to last for another million years. To guarantee the future of human race, we must make every effort to get human beings away from earth. A group of us on another planet.

A thought pops up in my mind, is there life on other planets? One of my favourite quotes from the movie Contact, “Universe is so big, if there is no one out there, wouldn’t it be such a waste of space?”

Mankind has just scratched the surface of the ice-berg to answer the big questions “Where do we come from” and “Why are we here”? With the advancement in the field of genetics we now know that every living organism on this planet is closely related. For example, the genetic difference between man and ape is less then 3 %. Chemical analysis of living and non living things on earth show that we all are carbon based life forms. Everything is related to each other through matter, all matter has the same composition as cosmic dust. Any reasonable person can observe this and come to the understanding that what religious books say the origins of the mankind and Universe cannot be that simple.

God whipping up some mud and creating this complex being sounds more like a fairy tale, doesn’t it? There has to be something bigger then this. If we shift our paradigm and search scientifically we will find the answer to the 2 big questions.

Alien invasion movies has been made very popular by Hollywood, alien invasion theories has always fascinated me, let’s do a small alien invasion analysis. Question, why would aliens invade us? Three main reasons

1. They want our resources, like water, minerals etc.
2. To rule us and make us slaves.
3. To find a new home for themselves as they have messed up their planet.

The experience we’ve had on earth, the first theory seems most likely. Mankind has always invaded other nations for resources, be it oil, gold or just more land. For an advance race to travel million light years the first and third reason seems more likely. The other reason would be curiosity, an alien beacon picks up an old radio signal and they become keen to discover. Well I am floating away from the topic here but something to keep our mind jogging is always good.

Today we are truly living in a technological era; we have scientific breakthroughs every day. What was hard to comprehend a decade ago, has become a reality. From mobile phones to artificial limbs, the world is becoming smaller and smaller everyday. The question is once we surpass this technological era, what is next to look forward to. Will it be space exploration? Well that’s what the developed world is geared up to do. There are 2 facets to this development. While the developed world tries to discover new worlds, build space stations and improve the quality of life for its citizens, the developing world still struggles with basic development necessities like infrastructure, alleviation of poverty and diseases. If you look carefully earth seems to be divided into 2 completely different worlds. One, thinks, lives, entertains, feeds and develops in completely different way then the other. What does this do for the future, will the developed nations get so advance that they will leap into a different dimension of civilization? Will they become controllers of the world and create new governance of this planet? Has it already begun?

Well its time for some mind jogging again. Let’s put the above scenario say a few thousand years back. Let’s get back to the time of the pyramids. We all know the mystery. A great civilisation suddenly lost. Where did this advance race of people go? We are slowing putting the pieces together to solve the mystery and in time we would find out. However the correlation I’m trying to put forward here is that in these modern times the developed world is in the same category as the advance civilizations of the ancient times. They were developing faster then other parts of the world. The more advance countries have developed technologies which is capable to take them to the next level. They are on the verge of developing transportation systems which can propel them into space and beyond. Did the ancient civilisations discover similar technologies, did they leave earth to discover new planents. Or did they come in contact with other superior civilizations?

Archaeological findings suggest that some parts of the world were more advance and had superior technology then the others. While some were still sharpening their stone spears others were building great cities and lightening up their pyramids with acidic batteries. We as humans have always under-estimated our own minds, human beings are far more superior race then we have thought to be. My follow-up article to this will divulge more substance on the superior world that existed, and where it all went. Nevertheless I have been surfing though. And found this faboulous article on Noahs Ark.

Whilst reading stories and holy books from different religions, I have found some uncanny resemblence to the stories. Its bollywood in reverse. One fact remains that Vedas and puranas came first, then Bible then other religious books. Please read the following account by: Gene D. Matlock, B.A., M.A. on such an account.

"When I was a child, my parents were, for a while, members of a Fundamentalist Christian sect called The Nazarenes. It was not a fun church. I escaped from it at age twelve, just when puberty and interest in girls set in.

Though they tried to make me stay in that church, Mom and Dad could not weaken my determination to leave it. However, I did enjoy a certain short song that all the Nazarene children had to learn by heart: Jesus Loves Me, This I know, for the Bible Tells Me So! Had I known then what I know now, I would've sung it this way: The Bible Comes From India, This I Know, for the Hindu Vedas and Puranas Tell Me So!

The following account, taken from the Hindu Matsya Purana (Fish Chronicle), describes some of the people who, after a severe flood, left India for other parts of the world:

To Satyavarman, that sovereign of the whole earth, were born three sons: the eldest Shem; then Sham; and thirdly, Jyapeti by name.
They were all men of good morals, excellent invirtue and virtuous deeds, skilled in the use of weapons to strike with, or to be thrown; brave men, eager for victory in battle.

But Satyavarman, being continually delighted with devout meditation, and seeing his sons fit for dominuion, laid upon them the burdens of government.

Whilst he remained honouring and satisfying the gods, and priests, and kine, one day, by the act of destiny, the king, having drunk mead

Became senseless and lay asleep naked. Then, was he seen by Sham, and by him were his two brothers called:

To whom he said, "What now has befallen? In what state is this our sire?" By these two he was hidden with clothes, and called to his senses again and again.

Having recovered his intellect, and perfectly knowing what had passed, he cursed Sham, saying, "Thou shalt be the servant of servants."

And since thou wast a laugher in their presence, from laughter thou shalt acquire a name. Then he gave Sham the wide domain on the south of the snowy mountains.

And to Jyapeti he gave all on the north of the snowy mountains; but he, by the power of religious contemplation, attained supreme bliss.

If you have read the Jewish or Christian bible, can you guess who Satyavarman, Shem, Sham, and Jyapeti were? Were Satyavarman and his sons our Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japhet? The Old Testament tells us that Satyavarman (Noah) got drunk by imbibing wine made from his vines in what is now Armenia, near Mt. Ararat. But I'm absolutely sure that my Hindu readers would know from where this story originated.

In Sanskrit, Satya-Varman means "Protector of Truth; Protector of the Righteous." Varman often occurs at the end of the names of Kshatriyas (Hereditary Hindu Leadership Caste). Shem/Sem means "An Assembly." According to White racists(s), Ham was turned black as punishment for lacking in respect for his father. The Christian Fundamentalists insist that Sham fathered the Africans. It was this superstition that helped perpetuate the institution of slavery in our antebellum (pre-Civil War) South. Jyapeti became the "God of the Sun" or the Christian, Jewish, Assyrian, Greek and Roman Jupiter and Jahve or Jehovah. For the Hindus, he is Dyaus Pitar, mankind's first known manifestation of God Shiva.

Satyavarman told Sham that he would acquire a name from laughter. Two of the two tribes descended from Sham were the Ha-Ha and Ho-Ho. They later migrated to other parts of the world. Ha-Ha(am)/Ham, meaning "The Ha people," were among the founders of Egypt. Other descendants of Sham, the Hohokam, settled in the American Southwest. Kam derives from the Sanskrit Gana, meaning "Tribe." Hohokam = "The Ho-Ho Tribe." Notice that both groups were desert people. Another tribe that first settled in the American Southwest were the Anazazi, known in ancient India as Anaza-zi (The Undestroyed and Living God Shiva).

The Jewish Noah's Ark legend appears to be a mixture of three Hindu flood myths: Satyavarman, Vaivasvata, and Nahusha. The Mahabharata states:

"The progeny of Adamis and Hevas (Adam and Eve) soon became so wicked that they were no longer able to coexist peacefully. Brahma therefore decided to punish his creatures "Vishnu" [right] ordered Vaivasvata to build a ship for himself and his family. When the ship was ready, and Vaivasvata and his family were inside with the seeds of every plant and a pair of every species of animal, the big rains began and the rivers began to overflow."
Not only are the names of the main players in the Noah story the same as the family of Satyavarman, but, like the Vaivasvata part that the Old Testament authors plagiarized from the Mahabharata, the rains fell for forty days and forty nights.
According to the Vaivasvata story, Shem's name is Manu; Ham or Sham is Nabhanedistha; Japhet is Yayati or Dyaus-Pitar (Jupiter or the Hebrew Jehovah).

The third "Noah" was a deity named Dyaus-Nahusha. We Westerners call him Dionysius or Bacchus. Bacchus derives from the Sanskrit Bagha, meaning "God the Androgynous." When a great flood destroyed the world, Nahusha left India in order to restore civilization to mankind. He also left India for another reason which I'll relate in another part of this article. One of the places where he stopped was a small island city state called Sancha Dwipa (Sancha Island), where the citizens built their homes out of seashells.

The Hindu historian Paramesh Choudhury wrote in his book, The India We Have Lost, that Sancha Dwipa was an Egyptian island. However, there is a small Mexican island town just off the Pacific coast in Nayarit state, Mexcaltitan, where the preconquest citizens built their homes out of seashells. According to Toltec mythology, Mexcaltitan [right] was the Mexican deity Quetzalcoatl's port of entry into Mexico. In Hindu mythology, Nahusha and God Vishnu are in close association. Vishnu is often pictured as floating on a raft of snakes [ left]. He also holds a conch hand in his hand. The Mexican deity Quetzalcoatl was also pictured as floating on a raft of snakes. Conch shells adorned his temples. One drawing of Quetzalcoatl shows him wearing a necklace of conch shells.

But the Mexican anomalies don't stop here.

The pre-Aztec Toltecs were also called Nahoa and Nahua. Nahua tribes did, and still do, extend even into South America. Since the Toltecs could not pronounce "V," I ask myself whether the words Nahoa and Nahua derive from the Sanskrit Nava, meaning "Ship; Boat." The word "Toltec" also appears to derive from the Sanskrit word for "Descendant of the Upper World Nation": Tal-Toka. Quetzalcoatl's original homeland was Tlapallan (See my article about Atlantis). This could derive from the Sanskrit Tala-Pala (The Upper World Land of Pala), another name of the Indian state of Bihar. Even the stories of the lives of Dyaus-Nahusha and Quetzalcoatl are similar. Dyaus-Nahusha was banished from India for getting drunk and raping the wife of the legendary Hindu philosopher Agastya. Quetzalcoatl was banished getting drunk and raping his own daughter. I can provide even more proofs that Nahusha and Quetzalcoatl were the same individual. It's easy to prove that India once colonized Mexico. The hard part is keeping ourselves brainwashed to remain blind to this fact!

More than twenty years ago, when I first started investigating these matters, some Fundamentalist Christians scolded me: "What can you gain by proving that all the religions and cultures of the world copied their religious traditions from the Hindus?"

I answered, "Well, you're always saying that someone should go to India and save the Hindus' poor lost souls. O.K, you win. I'm doing it!"."

Source: http://www.viewzone.com/noah.story.html
by Retnesh R Raj copyright 2007

Create an Oasis

What if we could fight the rise in sea levels. Sea level rises are largely due to polar ice-caps melting. This is comprehensively believed to be a direct result from emission of green house gases. Green house gases deplete the ozone layer and in-turn the global temperature rises.

Yes we are making very slow efforts to reverse this damage, the planet can heal it self however it will be sometime before it shows signs to improving. With economic superiority as the aim for most developing countries like China, and India, the shift from developed countries polluting our environment to developing countries will not solve the global problem. Nevertheless this effort must continue.

What if we could also work on other solutions which could parallelly solve other big global issues like hunger. If we look at the world today there is no shortage of food, we are overproducing and wasting too much food. Just go down to your local restaurant after they close and check out how much food is being wasted, milk companies waste hundreds of litres of milk, tons of grains and grain products are dumped everyday, most basic food products are wasted every minute in the western world. We eat more, become fat and basically create our own health problems. However in the developing world people die of hunger and disease. There is no lack of food in this world, but there is a lack of distribution of food. Whats the solution. At an individual level, one can save food and not waste, however this does not solve the problem on distribution. The western world is pumping billions of dollars to Africa,India and other impoverished nations, yet the problem doesn't seem to go away. When governments are corrupt and leaders are thief's no amount of help will be sufficient. The change must come from within.

On the problem of sea level rises and fighting hunger in African continent there is one unique solution. Most of the land in this continent are desert. Though there are pockets of fertile land which can be farmed, major parts are deserts. We are surrounded by water, it is one of the biggest resources mankind has and which is not being utilized properly. What if we could pump millions of gallons of sea water into the desert. Terra forming the desert into green fertile land. Filter seawater to collect salt for industries and by product to pump into the desert. I believe if the worlds philanthropists get together and channel their energies into this project instead of just donating to charity which makes little difference. "Countries with deserts, countries with high energy demand, and countries with technology competence must co-operate," he told MEPs

The project has been developed by the Trans-Mediterranean Renewable Energy Corporation and is supported by engineers and politicians in Europe as well as in Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Jordan and other nations in the Middle East and Africa.
Europe would provide initial funds for developing the solar technology that will be needed to run plants, as well as money for constructing prototype stations. After that, banks and financial institutions, as well as national governments, would take over the construction programme, which could cost more than £200 billion over the next 30 years.
"We don't make enough use of deserts," said physicist Gerhard Knies, co-founder of the scheme. "The sun beats down on them mercilessly during the day and heats the ground to tremendous temperatures. Then at night that heat is radiated back into the atmosphere ... We need to stop that waste and exploit the vast amounts of energy that the sun beams down to us."
Scientists estimate that sunlight could provide 10,000 times the amount of energy needed to fulfil humanity's current energy needs.
Transforming that solar radiation into a form to be exploited by humanity is difficult, however.
One solution proposed by the scheme's engineers is to use large areas of land on which to construct their solar plants. In Europe, land is costly. But in nations such as Morocco, Algeria and Libya it is cheap, mainly because they are scorched by the sun. The project aims to exploit that cheap land by use of a technique known as "concentrating solar power".
A CSP station consists of banks of several hundred giant mirrors that cover large areas of land, around a square kilometre. Each mirror's position can be carefully controlled to focus the sun's rays on to a central metal pillar that is filled with water. Prototype stations using this technique have already been tested in Spain and Algeria. Once the sun's rays are focused on the pillar, temperatures inside start to soar to 800C. The water inside the pillar is vaporised into superhot steam, which is channelled off and used to drive turbines, which in turn generate electricity.
"It is proven technology," added Knies. "We have shown it works in our test plants." Only small stations have been tested, but soon plants capable of generating 100 megawatts of power could be built, enough to provide the needs of a town. The Desertec project envisages a ring of a thousand of these stations being built along the coast of northern Africa and to the Mediterranean coast of the Middle East.
In this way up to 100 billion watts of power could be generated: two-thirds of it would be kept for local needs, the rest - around 30 billion watts - would be exported to Europe.
An idea of how much power this represents is revealed through Britain's electricity generating capacity, which totals 12 billion watts.
But there is an added twist to the system. The superheated steam, after it has driven the plant's turbines, would then be piped through tanks of sea water which would boil and evaporate. Steam from the sea water would be piped away and condensed and stored as fresh water.
"Essentially, you get electricity and fresh water," said Knies. "The latter is going to be crucial for developing countries round the southern Mediterranean and in North Africa.
"Our solar power plants will not only generate electricity that they can sell to Europe, they will supply drinkable water that will sustain their thirsty populations."
There are drawbacks, however. At present electricity generated this way would cost around 15-20 eurocents a kilowatt-hour - almost twice the cost of power generated by coal. However, Desertec's backers say improvements over the next decade should bring the cost down.
- Observer

by Retnesh R Raj copyright 2007

Age of Universe

Following up from my previous blog "Older then you think" I have just found a fabolous article about the age of universe.

THE UNIVERSE
In the early part of this century, two opposing theories about the origin of the universe were postulated. (1) The Steady State theory, which says the universe is never born, never dies, and is always like what it is. (2) The Big bang theory, which says the universe began with a point of energy exploding in a "big-bang". All the matter came into being from energy continuously expanding and changing form. Ultimately the expansion will stop and it will start contracting, ending into nothingness with a "big-crunch". What is before big-bang or after big crunch, the theory doesn’t know.
In reality, both the theories are correct. The universe begins from a point with a bang and ends in a point with a crunch. This duration we call one Kalpa (cosmos) or Brahma Diwas (eternal day). It is preceded and succeeded by an equal period during which matter lies in a dormant, inert state and that is called a Brahma Ratri i.e. a divine night (for the nature that sleeps as it were). All the souls also remain in a dormant state, a sort of hibernation, during this period. The evolution of cosmos from dormant state may be called a ‘creation’ or ‘srishti’, and its involution back into inert state is called dissolution (pralaya). As days and nights succeed each other, so do cosmos and divine nights in this eternal sinusoidal cycle of evolutions and involutions 3 (Figure 1).

All matter, i.e. nature, has three basic attributes/forces – satva, rajasa and tamasa. During brahma ratri, these forces remain in a balanced state. After the big bang, the three forces get realigned to form elementary particles called Mahat or Aapah, which combine further to form other basic particles, atoms and so on. 4
Figure 1
A – "Big Bang"
B – "Big Crunch"
A to B – One "Kalpa"
Age of universe
The age of each Kalpa (eternal day) is 4.32 billion years (4,320,000,000 years). According to Hindu scriptures this is further subdivided as below:
1 Kalpa
=
1000 Chaturyugis
=
14 Manvantars + Buffer Periods of 6 Chaturyugis
1 Manvantar
=
71 Chaturyugis
1 Chaturyugi
=
4,320,000 years
Of the 14 manvantars, the universe expands for the first seven, and contracts for the next seven.
Each chaturyugi is subdivided into four Yugas:
Krit yuga = 1,728,000 years
Treta yuga = 1,296,000 years
Dwapar yuga = 864,000 years
Kali yuga = 432,000 years
At present, kaliyuga of the 28th chaturyugi of the 7th manvantar is in progress. According to this calculation, 1,972,949,100 years have elapsed since the evolution of present cosmos began, and it has 2,347,050,900 years still to go before the "big-crunch". 5

THE EARTH
All planets prior to their formation are part of their parent stars, like the nine planets of our solar system were part of the Sun. After parting from the Sun, it took millions of years for our Earth to cool and become solid. The Earth is hollow inside, with a tiny white-dwarf "sun" at its center. Most of the other planets in this universe are hollow inside. And most of the planets are inhabited too, because the basic purpose of planets is to support life – as that of stars is to support planets. On a planet, both the outside surface and the inside surface, or any one of them, could be suitable for life. For our Earth, both the surfaces support life – in fact, the "inside world" (referred to as Pataal Loka in Hindu scriptures) is more suitable for life as is protected from outside natural calamities. 6
LIFE ON EARTH
Presently, the twenty eighth chaturyugi of the seventh manvantar is in its last phase. The Earth was formed in the second manvantar, while the Moon was formed in the third. Continents came out of the oceans in the fourth manvantar. Vegetation was born in the fifth, animals in sixth and humans at the beginning of the current seventh. So, human life on Earth is roughly 120 million years old.7
At first the humans were born by asexual means – in fully grown-up and knowledgeable state – in the Meru Parvat region in Himalayas (Tibet). They further carried on the chain of life through sexual means.8
At the birth of every cosmos the complete knowledge of God is transmitted in wave-form and spreads out with the expanding universe. This knowledge was received by the foremost of the earliest humans – the four rishis (sages) – through meditation, and given to the humankind in the form of the four Vedas. 9
Population increased, Vedic knowledge spread, and human society flourished. Since the very beginning, humanity has taken two paths, the Devas and the Asurs, the believers in God and the worshippers of nature, the good and the evil. The society got divided along these two paths. The Deva or Aryan culture believes in scientific development supported by equal spiritual enlightenment for the ultimate betterment of humanity. On the other hand, the Asur culture believes in extreme materialism and considers the nature to be all powerful, leading to usage of science for destructive purposes.10
The fight for supremacy between the two cultures, between good and bad, follows a sinusoidal path, and so do peace and wars, and the scientific and spiritual development of humanity. Today it’s the asur culture that is on top, but the fight is still on.

REFERENCES
RigVeda 10-129-7YajurVeda 13-4; Or at least a 1000 years. What may seem impossible used to be a reality in ancient times, Rishi’s and yogis had lived for 1000’s of years practicing Yoga and Meditation.

Today our diet and lifestyle does not allow us to live a long healthy life. Smoking, consuming alcohol, fatty food, animal meat and over-eating, plus over processed foods, preserved food and food and drinks high in processed sugar. There are numerous articles and research available on the Internet proving that Sattvic diet is best for health, even better is if we do not consume any animal products, the best diet is the one that is closest to nature; I won’t go into explaining the details of why meat free vegetarian diet is better for you. You can research that yourself.

The Secret to a very long life lies, within the mastery of our body’s functions and its uses. You firstly have to look at our body from a molecular level, anything we eat that our body digests is in very minut particles. The cell walls of our stomach are microscopically small. Basically the food that can pass through these walls is best in the form of liquid then solid. Eating foods which are not easily digestible is a waste of your time and also your body’s time. The main killer however is over eating, what happens to an engine when you put excess oil in it. Less food in the stomach and intestine will make the process of digestion easier and faster. The 2 functions of our digestive system is to digest food and to renew it self. You have to give your organs time to renew itself every so often. Overeating will leave unnecessary food or waste matter in your intestine which will hinder this process, imagine your intestine trying to absorb ‘shit’. Yuk

How do we put this process right, Eat less, give time to your body to renew, we can do this by giving it time-off to renew itself, so once every few days give it time off from digestion. Once every 3 days, fast. After fasting start up the process slowly drinking pure fresh liquids, and then back to eating good food. Try to eat food in their natural state, fruits please don’t cook them or fry them, I would like to shoot the person who created banana fritters, what were you thinking mate! Enough said. Your body needs rest which is vital, we are not nocturnal animals, time your sleep with sun cycles, sleep good 8 to 10 hrs. If you cant afford that then make sure have a quick nap during the day. If you can't afford to sleep, change your job.

The body works best in warmth, our body is made of organic matter, its not some clunky metal, imagine the texture of meat deep frozen, and what happens when you defrost it, blood flows, Keep yourself warm every time for your body to function well. Drink warm water after meals.
It’s easier to keep yourself warm in a warm environment, if you are living in the tropics or warmer climate you have the added advantage.

Even if you eat a very healthy diet, drink purest of liquids and fruit juices, your body will still gather toxins or accumulate toxins from environment, polluted air and additives in the water and chemicals in foods (in this day and age you can’t escape it, all commercially available vegetables, root crops, grains, fruits and legumes will contains some amount of chemicals from pesticides, weedicides and fertilizer). I have recommended fasting; this will help in the process of detoxification. Drinking plenty pure water will also help in this process. If you can find pure water which is free from any additives try drinking that, it will be distilled water it will be just H2O, no sodium or chlorine in it. Your body also produces toxic molecules from the process of cell division and cell regeneration, the Kidney and Livers primary function is to remove toxins from the body as a result of body’s metabolism. To remove toxins and keep body fit and healthy regular exercise is vital. It keeps the mind alert, facilitates bodily functions and helps and regeneration of cells which in turn keep your youthful. Caution over exercise can also have negative effects, rev the engine too much and what happens? Enough said. While aerobic, and weight training exercises will make you fitter and looking good, stretching exercise will greatly help muscles to excrete toxins and re-fresh itself, imagine a towel you have washed with soapy water, how do we excrete water from it…..yes squeeze it out, once squeezed the towel is ready to absorb. And there is no better stretching exercise then Yoga. Practice it and say bye bye to old age.

Progress in life from ethical wealth and higher learning from studying broad subjects will spiritually help in living longer. Never stop learning. Keep good company, always be around good people and always help others. The higher you climb this ladder the longer you live and shine. Cautions do not climb the ladder of ignorance.

To sum up:

1. Eat natural foods in balance i.e. Grains, Vegetables, fruits, legumes, root crops, Herbs, plenty resources on the Internet, need help contact me.

2. Keep warm ( no overheating)

3. Plenty of Exercise, Yoga, aerobic and weight training. Caution Don't overexercise remember the rev up your engine example (The reason I am prescribing Yoga, aerobic and weight training is that research has been done on these, Yoga is thousands of years old, it is well documented and works, do not reinvent the wheel, the hard work has been done, you have to just practice it now, thanks Mr Rishi and Munis.

4. The Most important of all, the mother of all, ........... eat less. Eat well but eat less in each sitting, Do not start your day with hard and greasy food, Bacon and eggs out the window, start your day with slim mild with sweet fruits, soft and kind, warm water and soft grain breads. ... then continue your day with fruits, nuts, grains, fresh Vegetables:- all kinds, dark and leafy, eggplants, cabbage, beans, seeds, avocado, etc etc..there are so many varieties. NO ANIMAL PRODUCTS. None!!Try to eat food in their natural state. Need help contact me!.

5. Regular fasting

6. Preserve Energy to gain higher consciousness, this is part of yoga, study and research it yourself. Broaden your horizons. Need Help Contact me!.

The above is not rocket science, its designed for modern men living in a modern society, it can be done and you will feel the changes in your life, you will feel younger and youthful and you will live longer....much longer.

Live long and prosper.
by Retnesh R Raj copyright 2007

Long Lost Cousins.

From very young I have been amazed by the similarities between the Native Fijian culture and Hindu culture. Firstly I was ignorant about Fijian Culture until I learned more about it. The Fijians were great seafarers and warriors, the food habits and way of dressing are quite smilier to the South Indians as the people of Kerala. It is known that Micronesian sailors have travelled long distances in rigged sailing canoes. It is also evident that Tamil explorers had come as far as New Zealand, they had sailed in the Pacific Ocean, there's a bell in the New Zealand Tepapa Musuem Inscribed on it in Tamil are the words ‘Mohoyideen Buk’s ship’s bell’. It was found by Maoris and it had been used as a cooking vessel. You can click here to view this image.

Stephen Knapp in his book Proof of Vedic Culture's Global Existence remarks; ".....Vedic culture had access to all lands around the globe. This is proved by several finds, such as the navel bell with Tamil inscription...."

Some other things I have noticed are:
Fire walking: The Fijians from the Island of Beqa are renowned for their Fire-walking and preparations are similer the Theemithi ritual originated in South India. The preparations for it was very traditional but its fast becoming a tourist attraction and the essence of the cultural background is being lost, which is sad to see.

Loin Cloths: The view that Fijians were a "Jungle race" and wore leaves is not true, they were fine makers of Loin Cloth, much like the"Dhoti" which Gandhi wore. It is widely held believe amongst Fiji Indians that The "Ramnik Dweep"(Beautiful Island) mentioned in Bhagwat Gita (ancient hindu text) is Fiji, where Garuda which is lord Vishnu's bird brought Kalia Naag from Holy River Jamuna and dropped in Islands of Fiji. The ancient Fijians used to worship it as God before converting to Christianity. The Fijian word for this God is "Kalou" more similar sounding to "Kalia". Another Curious thing I found was when I visited this Archaeological site called the Tavuni Hill Fort, they were still excavating the site, the guide was showing us around and she pointed to a old Fijian temple site saying Fijians used to worship there, my brother and my jaws dropped when we saw a round stone inside the temple site. A Shiva Lingam, a Shiva Lingam is a stone representing Lord Shiva.I will try to get a picture for the Tavuni Hill Fort site soon.

The traditional Fijians also built temples for worship it is uncanny that how they would have thought of designing their temples similar to that of their Indian origin however the materials used were different but the design remains the similar, maybe the old Fijian did have some memories of their old tradition.

Compare these 2 pictures I got from the internet, above is a old Fijian temple and below a similier design South Indian temple.

Genetic Studies of which is not as comprehensive yet suggest that Polynesians and Melanesians originate from the Asian Sub-Continent. Some people belief that GOD created the heavens and earth, and every living and non living thing on it. Some cultures believe that earth was born from an egg. These are the same people who would have thought the earth was square and there was water after the edges. The Christian faith beliefs the earth is less then 10,000 years old. Last week I was digging up my garden and found an old beer bottle, hell that looked like 10,000 years old. Archbishop James Ussher of Ireland once said that earth was created on October 22nd 4004 BC. Wouldn't that make every other older religion like Hinduism and Egyptian Non-Existent?

The Argument can go on for days between religion and science. After reading about most religious and cultural beliefs, the Hindu Time-Line seems to be the longest and most well researched, give or take few million years.

First let me give you a little background to the Hindu Science. I am saying Hindu Science as opposed to Indian Science because back then, that part of the world was not called India and the present map of India was way bigger in land mass then today, but lets leave that topic for some other time. Science has very deep roots in Hindu philosophy and religion but somewhere in the middle the 2 got mixed up and it became so complex that to an average person it seemed like old mumbo jumbo. However now that we Men (should I say some men) have reached an advance level of maturity we can separate the Dhal from the rice, or science from the myth. The most widely studied text which the Hindu Scientists wrote are the 4 Vedas, Rig Veda, Sama Veda, Yajur Veda and Atharva Veda. The Vedas were compiled during the reign of Krishna and were written in the Sanskrit. The development of Sanskrit was also a major achievement for Hindus, its a vast and complex language. The ancient Hindus covered major sectors of science from Mathematics to Fine Arts, from Medicine to Ship building. You can find out more by going to Wikipedia or just click here

To explain the rudimentary science to peasant farmers back then would have been very difficult. So the hindu scientist back 5000 years ago had to explain it in terms of stories and characters which would be more realistic and much understood by the scientist's largest audeince, the general population. So how did they explain the origin of life and the huge time line to farmers and common people who could not see further then the last cow on the horizon. According to Hindu philosophy Brahma is the creator of the Universe, and now this is a God like figure people can relate to, after this the explanation becomes little bit easier. It is quite complex still, so pay attention. And remember the facts not the story.

One day in the life of Brahma is equivalent to 1000 Mahayugas, and the following night is another 1000 Mahayugas. A Mahayuga can be explained as an "age" much like the Copper age or Bronze age, a Yuga then can be explained as say a period much like a Jurassic period.

So at the beginning of each day of Brahma the BIG BANG takes place and sequence of life starts, one day of Brahma is about 4.32 billion years old. The day of Brahma is also called a kalpa, Brahma's life is 100 years which is equal to about 311.04 trillion human years.

Each Mahayuga is divided into 4 Yugas these are Satya yuga (also called krta yuga), Treta Yuga, Dvapara yuga and Kali yuga. The Satya yuga lasted about 1728,000 years added on to that Treta yuga lasted 1296,000 years added on dvapara yuga lasted 864,000 years added on to this is Kali yuga which will last for 432,000 years. The present Kali yuga began about 3102 BC. If you add it all up from the beginning it comes to about 1,972,949,102 human years as the present age of the Universe.

Source (Source: Srimad-Bhagavatam, IX - 3)

The Hindi concept of time is eternal and cyclic. You could probably see now why I belief that the Hindu concept of time seems more believable if you compare it to the present scientific conclusions about the age of Universe. I always wonder how did the ancients come to have such vast knowledge about science and technology. It had to be passed on from somewhere, to comprehend such vast knowledge of science thousands of years ago is unimaginable. What advance technologies did they have? Imagine no computers or Internet back then. It is my firm belief that part of our human race has either been visited by intelligent beings from other more advance planets who have passed on this knowledge to us in form of divine literature or some of them came and made earth their home and slowly blended in with earthlings. Whatever the case, what we believe of the Universe and age of human civilization is much older then we presently think, science for surely will come to this conclusion, the process is slow because evidence gathering is slow. However progress is made with the availability of modern technology.

I will throw some light on my next article about Inter stellar travelling and how we have been contacted by advance race. However before I go ahead with this you have to understand the mechanics of age and time. Hope you have seen Lord of the Rings Movie, remember in the end when the Race of Elves were leaving Middle Earth because the " The age of Men was Coming", much like Kaliyuga. Each period of time has its role pre-defined Kali yuga is the age of men. Astrologically speaking in the age of men there will be no magic or wizardry. It is the time when we are left alone it is the age inauspicious to visit earth.
by Retnesh R Raj copyright 2007

Errors

Hello there readers I got some good verbal feedback from readers, and the main points were that though the articles were interesting, it has lots of spelling and grammer errors. Thank you once again.
by Retnesh R Raj copyright 2007

Need to leave Earth

Time and time again I hear critics of NASA and critics of space exploration. The main critics say "Why waste billions of Dollars exploring space while millions suffer from hunger on earth". ?

Well its a valid question, however if that was the attitude of human beings we would have never discovered that the earth was round(sphere). We would have never left our caves and ventured to discover new lands. It is the gist of discovery that has made us human otherwise we might still be hanging from trees jumping from one branch to another. We are indeed unique beings. Once my Brother in law Joe, and my two nieces, one 4 years and one 3 years old and I were travelling to near by play centre. We were talking about kids and how inquisitive they are, the 3 year old popped a question "Daddy why does it rain". Joe said, well because the sun dries the water on the ground and it goes up in the air and comes down as rain and sometimes there is thunder and lightening when it rains, the next question " What is lighting daddy".... and it went on and on from there. My point here is, we are an inquisitive race of people from the day we are born. We are wired that way. We want to learn and discover.

We look up the night sky and see stars twinkling we want to know where these stars are. We have discovered other worlds with our telescopes. Now we want to visit them. Its in our nature to discover. Apart from this there is more need to venture into space, firstly for the sake of our own planet and for the sake of our existence.

Lets look at climate change, we must be in space to look at earth and how its changing, how the polar ice-caps are melting and how ocean currents are changing to bring storms. Communication is essential for the future of our civilization.

US astronomers have warned that a giant Asteroid can hit earth in near
future, more data is being gathered to properly track its path. We see and hear about meteor's and meteorites often, recently there was a comet that passed over New Zealand, large enough to cause panic in some people, fire stations around the country received numerous calls, some people thought there was a plane on fire. The adjacent picture was printed in the New Zealand herald recently. What if there is a Armageddon proportion asteroid or comet really heading our way. If it is then it will be the end of the life on planet earth as we know it. Don't we need to have human beings elsewhere besides earth?. If there is a global killer like this then all we have worked for will be wiped off in a few seconds. We need human beings to be out there in space so that we don't perish like the dinosaurs.

I wonder if earth is destroyed and all human beings die. What will happen then ? Will there be any thing that survives. If yes then who will be next in line to take over the planet. I would say... cockroaches. This could be a good topic for another blog.

by Retnesh R Raj copyright 2007

Biological Robotism and Humanism

You may not have come across the above terms before, if you have and are interested in the above terms, then hey we can be friends. Lets look at this astounding similarity. The machine language of computers and ultimately robots is understood with only 2 digits; zeros and ones (0,1). The DNA of all living organisms is also based on combination of similar concept, A G T C. The 4 proteins of the DNA strand. We are creating robots in our own image. The basic underlying concept for both is the same, one is using machine code and the other biological elements. Just a food for your thought.

If you look at any animal especially human beings, then you will see that we are totally unique, unique in the sense that none of our biological organs are the same, there is nothing in our body similar to the liver, or lungs or skin for that matter. An organism though seems like a amalgamation of biologically different complex molecular structures working symbiotically together, with synapses from the brain to instruct their functions. Maybe in the primordial soup these were all different life forms, which got together for mutual benefit, and then one brain to rule them all.

Like we are slowly building robots, to behave like human and animals, its not too long before we are able to make a fully functional thinking robot. It will be one of men's greatest achievements. it would be something we made from looking at ourselves. A mechanical version of us. I wonder if one day the robots will run free and worship humans as Gods, or call then Master!

NASA is already researching on Robots which one day will behave like humans, these Robots are in fact being developed to learn from Humans using collaborative control, where Robots will converse with Humans and ask them questions to develop its 'brain' Two other areas of development will be "Reasoning Mechanisms" and Field Tests. Robots developing reasoning mechanisms will it behave more like humans, they will collaborate to do tasks. These may be the first in the series of Intelligent Robots. But whats next.

Robotic body parts are already in existence. All the robots don't have is a brain. But evolution is witness that everything evolves. We had computers the size of a small supermarket now it can fit in the palm of your hand, Humans were once cannibals but now we rule the world, its only matter of time when Humans and Robots will exist side by side. However more research is needed for it to be a reality.
by Retnesh R Raj copyright 2007

Explanation of Life

We live through life with its pain, its pleasure and its sorrows. We cherish its joys and cry at its sadness. The purpose which everyone at one point in life may ask themselves, what is the reason for my existence? Everyone has their different answers, some don’t and go on living, as it was a duty. Some live through it, ignorant of its own existence. Some think the purpose of life is to live to enjoy the life gifted to us. Some live so one day they could die.

What is the conspiracy behind the life we live? If the purpose of life is to love then why do we suffer pain? If the purpose of life is to find God then why did we come on earth in the first place? We know that every living thing had a singular beginning. We are all in some way or the other related. Plant and animals we are from the same seed as earth itself.

The purpose sometimes slips our mind and we go on living. We humans are lovers of beautiful things, good houses, good cars, nice flowers and good food. Let’s take the flowers for example, its purpose; it blows sweet smell in the air, produces sweet nectar for the insects, all for, pollination. It gives so much for the purpose to survive. The relationship between an insect and a flower is so profound that it explains life.

To the ordinary eye it’s a few bees buzzing around a red rose. The bee jumps from flower to flower pollinating it’s provider of food. They have a relationship based only on one thing, survival. One is giving to live and one is taking to live. It’s a love affair which cannot survive without this exchange. The insect is so much in love with the flower that it cannot survive, it goes through great lengths to find its soul mate. The pretty flower had been waiting since it was born for the bee to come and fill her bosom and liberate her short life. The copulation is intense. Scholars of horticulture say that the flowers open its petals so the insect can pollinate it well.

The basic nature of our survival is based on this principle. We live for the soul purpose of living, we fall in love when our soul mate comes and fulfills our purpose of life. The flower loves the pollinator without questioning the purpose of the insect’s life. To me it’s a great lesson.

Nicklos Cage said in one of his movies and I think it concludes this well. WE ARE WHAT WE LOVE, NOT WHAT LOVES US. Love is absolute and unconditional. The conditions are put by nature, which tells us that “You have to survive”.

by Retnesh R Raj copyright 2007

The New Human

Last night my friend and I stroke up an interesting conversation which kept me awake all night. The topic of the discussion was: What if human beings didn't have to work for food, what if we didn't have to eat to survive. My friend literally frustrated from the daily routine of life so we were chilling out with some beers. I thought for a while and asked him " Yeah but if we didn't eat how would we function". My friend is rather a good listener but no hard comments came after that. But it led me to ponder on this thought all night. To answer my own question, I believe if human beings didn't eat then the only other way they could function is by absorbing energy directly from the sun and the environment, there has been examples where men have converted energy directly from the sun for example SUPERMAN, he can convert Suns energy into superpowers. But for one he is not human second he is not real. So lets move on.

Imagine if we could convert suns energy directly like plants. For example we could use Carbon dioxide from air we breath and H2O from the liquid we drink + Photons from the Sun to make sugar and glucose and wallah ENERGY. Our body is known to convert Suns energy into Vitamin D so this idea is not very far fetched. However we need other nutrients to live as well, protein and some essential vitamins.

Talking from an evolutionary point of view if we didn't have to hunt and gather food we would need quite minimum physical activity. We would not need to be big and strong therefore lack of protein in the diet wouldn't have really mattered. Our physiology would also be quite different. Our skin would be more susceptible to sunlight and would not burn from long exposure, so I guess our skin would be harder in nature, the epidermis would still allow light to pass through but the makeup would be rather hard plastic type. We would not tall and muscular ( and Fat) as we are now. We would have had lots of melanin in our body so our skin probably be darker in colour. There would be lack of calcium so we would not have a large bone structure, therefore we would be small people. Now this was getting interesting to me. Hope someone can draw a picture from the description above.

Looking at our lives now, most people do think about food most of the time except ofcouse supermodels. Whole societies revolve around some form of eating and drinking, any community activity would end or involve food. We work so we can buy food to feed ourselves and our families. It is our most essential need. Now think of a society which does not revolve around food. Human beings would have never comprehended killing other animals for consumption. The agricultural revolution would never have taken place.

In that case would we have just laid on the beach all day and absorbed the sun? Though it sounds like a good idea. I believe that since we would not have to think about food we would still have the hunger for discovery, science and even religion. It is in our nature to yearn. Our civilization would have developed much faster. The world would have looked so much different. We would still need shelter form other environmental factors such as rain and wind but to maximise the inflow of sunlight, our buildings would be more like Domes with glass roof and ceiling.

Maybe something like the Picture above

What about politics and distribution of land. The countries and land close to the Equator would be fought for and desired. Countries such as the middle east where the sun exposure is higher would be heavily populated. We would still have wars, our weapons would be more advanced.
